Nini Sanger:a force of nature who's making waves in ocean protection.

Nini recently shattered the world record for rowing solo across the Atlantic Ocean, completing the journey in an astounding 40 days, 12 hours, and 36 minutes. But for Nini, breaking records is just the beginning. Her epic adventures serve a greater purpose: raising awareness and funds for critical ocean conservation efforts.

Next on Nini's horizon?

A daring row across the Pacific to highlight the urgent need for marine protectedareas. Nica Aventura is thrilled to sponsor Nini's upcoming expedition, amplifying her message of ocean stewardship

Joëlle De Weerdt: A PASSION LIKE NO OTHER

Joëlle De Weerdt is a dedicated marine biologist and the founder of the Cetacean Conservation Project of Nicaragua. Her work is crucial as it addresses the lack of scientific data regarding marine mammals in the region, which is increasingly affected by unregulated eco-tourism and potential environmental changes due to large development projects like the proposed Nicaraguan canal.

Joelle looks to continue her passion after pursuing a self-funded PhD through Vrije Universiteit Brussel, focusing on the migratory patterns and ecology of humpback whalesl
